    Meet Our Founder

Hi, I’m Christina- neurodivergent occupational therapist, mom of three and founder of Sensory TheraPLAY Box.

In 2016, I dreamed up the idea of a sensory toy subscription box. Since then, we've sent boxes to families all across the USA and Canada.

What started in my dining room quickly overflowed into my entire home and garage. When that got too full, I rented a space 30 minutes away and hired a small team to help with packing. Now, we ship from a fulfillment center just a few towns over. It's been a journey!

My goal has always been simple: to make sensory tools accessible for neurodivergent and autistic children- kids who process the world differently, feel deeply and filter less.

Over time, I realized the boxes were never just about the toys. They're about about the experience- the joy of a surprise package arriving each month, something families can count on and look forward to.

It's also about community. On my Substack, I help parents feel truly seen and put words to things many of us have always sensed but couldn't quite name. I write deep-dive articles about neurodivergence, perception, energy, consciousness, and the nervous system.

Most people understand regulation on a surface level and think "deep breaths, calm bodies." But I explore the bigger picture: how the nervous system acts as a tuning fork for reality itself, and how expanding its capacity can heighten awareness, perception and synchronicity.

I also feel that we will never truly be able to understand ourselves and our children if we don't at least try and question the nature of reality itself. The keys that unlock the doors of understanding hide in terms like energy, frequency, vibration and metaphysics.

If that sparks curiosity, head over to my Substack to read more.

Whether you're here for the sensory boxes or the writing, I'm really glad you found your way here.
